Sixty people were selected by convenient sampling method and then assigned to two groups of experimental and control randomly (each group holding 30 participants). For experimental group experiments, 10 sessions of Islamic spiritual healing (45-minute sessions) were held. Subjects responded to Tuckman Scholarship Inventory and academic eagerness. The data was analyzed using covariance analysis (ANCOVA).
Results: The results showed that the spirituality of Islam-based treatment significantly reduced academic procrastination and increased enthusiasm for academic performance effectively. In other words, it could affect the experimental group to lower academic procrastination and improve academic aspirations.
Conclusion: Islamic spiritual therapy has been effective in reducing the amount of academic procrastination and increasing the enthusiasm. So, Islamic spiritual therapy can be used to improve nursing students' academic achievements.
