Summary:Baba Taher-i Uryan is one of the rare personalities in the realm of humanity with his sage personality, humble lifestyle, and indescribable love for the Supreme Creator. He lived his life without attaching any value to the worldly existence, thus emphasizing through his poems that the true place to live is the afterlife. Baba Tâher, through his poems and prose works, not only expressed his own thoughts but also warned people about the deceptive aspects of the world, urging them not to fall into the traps of Satan. Efforts have been made to recognize the personality of ‘Uryân in the geography we live in and to understand his world of thought, but it is difficult to say that these efforts have been sufficient. In this sense, this study is conducted to contribute to previous works in terms of correctly recognizing this personality and understanding his ideas. The main aim of the research is to introduce the life and works of Baba Teher, who lived in the 11th century in the Lorîstan region of today’s Iran, and to analyze his literary personality. As a method in the research, as a result of the data obtained by using the literature review and the library catalog scanning technique with manuscripts, Baba Taher ‘s life, works and literary personality were examined. In this context, the Dubaytis; considering its poetic structure, verse type, verse unit, prosody, syllabic meter, rhyme scheme, pseudonym and its content; al-Kelimâtu’l-kisâr, on the other hand, has been evaluated only in terms of content, since it is prose.
