Summary:This paper had the objective to analyze the wage differential, in the formal labor market context, starting by gender (man and woman) and race (white and non-white), comparing the Bahia state in relation to Salvador in 2017.Methodo-logically, the Oaxaca-Blinder (1973) and recentered influence functions (RIF) regression formulated by Firpo et al. (2007) methods were used to measure the behavior of the search variables. The results showed what the wage differential was influenced, significantly, by gender and race aspects, presenting similar be-havior in Salvador compared to Bahia state in 2017, with small differences between the analyzed areas portions.
