Description
Summary:From the opening gesture of Philippe Ariès (regarding the studies of childhood) as the starting point, this article aims to explore the childhood representations forms found in the three poems that make up the Ms. K-III-4 of the Biblioteca de San Lorenzo of El Escorial (Libro de Apolonio, Vida de Santa María Egipciaca, Libre dels tres reys d’Orient), looking for an understanding of the different ways of being a child that can be read in this codex. Ways that not only allow to rectify founding assertions of the French historian, but also become signs of the imaginary and knowledge of a XIII century prone to men earthly condition.
