description | After the end of the Second World War, thinking about the freedom and the sovereigin homeland made Jan Stefko to create the group of the NSZ. Its main cause was to stay against totalitarian and the communist regime. This group appeared in January 1946 in Golcowa and Domaradz in brzozowski district. Despite its short two month activity, its members attacked twenty four times, did a few disarmaments both of the police stations and the soldiers of the Polish Army. They also killed three persons connected with the Security Office. In this way they started fighting against the communist regime just at the beginning of its existance. However, this group was liguidated due to the pursuiting of the military operation in Przecław. Some of its members were killed or imprisoned for many years. The others, came out their activities. Jan Stefko experienced the fortune of many other leaders of Polish antycommunist guerrillas, however he was killed in autumn 1946. |
