description The purpose of this work is to analyze the scientific literature on perfectionism in children and adolescents, published in the Web of Science, between 2004 and 2014. The documentary sample consisted of 174 publications, which were analyzed based on different bibliometric indicators such as the analysis of temporal productivity, the most productive journals and authors on the topic and the co-authorship index, as well as an analysis of the main instruments used and the themes identified. The results indicated that child and adolescent perfectionism is a still emerging field of investigation, for this reason, no specialized journals on the subject or authors with more than nine publications on the topic were found. Likewise, the analyzes in relation to co-authorship showed a tendency to work collaboratively, following the current stoppages of science. They highlighted the Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale and the Child and Adolescent Perfectionism Scale as the two instruments most used to measure perfectionism in children and adolescents. Regarding the content analysis, a total of seven thematic categories were identified, the most prevalent being the one that brings together the documents focused on examining the relationship between perfectionism and various disorders or psychological problems.
