The following instruments were used: 1) Bartholomew Attachment Scale, 2) SIDES-CR self report Scale; 3) The Trauma Center Symptom Scale for PTSD; 4) Net of support format; and 5) A semi-structured interview format. Two profiles are proposed, based on the results. Significative differences (p>.05) were found between attachment styles, and a) The severity of Simple PTSD, intrusion and constriction symptoms, b) Presence and severity of Complex PTSD, and alterations in attention and consciousness, self-perception, and system of meanings. Also, between the presence and severity of simple and complex PTSD symptoms and: a) Attachment styles, b) Size of the net of support; and c) Communication quality, and tendency of family relationships. Relationships with captivity partners were the best ones and more solid of the net of support. |
