Summary:Archaeological studies conducted recently in Aegean Region have provided to access Middle Paleolithic cultural remains produced by Homo Neanderthals. Especially Denizli (Honaz, Aydınlar) and Kütahya (Omartepe Sırtı and Kureyşler Dam Lake Basin) are the areas where the highly characteristic chipped stone industries belong to the Mousterian industry. The Middle Palaeolithic (Mousterian) industry produced of high-quality and far origin int in Denizli includes biface, levallois and discoid cores along with side scrapers, typical mousterian point, akes and knapping waste products. Within Kütahya Kureyşler Dam Lake Region Middle Paleolithic industry group which is dense in ndings, existence of scrapers like quina has been reported. Paleolithic industry from the mentioned regions is capable of making comparisons with the Middle Paleolithic industry from the other parts of Anatolia whether they are obtained stratigraphically or from the surface in terms of their techno-typological features.
