description | The Electrochromic glass is able to change its optical features on command and to modify the level of shielding of the light and solar incoming radiation. The research is focused in two wide thematic fields: the comparison of the performance of the EC and the Low-e; the evaluation of the contribution by the EC to the energy saving, using more increasing window surface in relation to the blind components of the envelope. Data collected allow to extrapolate interesting element of debate about the design of the building envelope, with a particular reference to the areas where sunshine is intense and prolonged. |
