description The article proposes a theoretically based approach to determining the service areas and location of transformer substations (TS) in the case depending on the intensity of the electric load based on the area specified in the city power supply system. Rational use of service areas and determination of the optimal area by location will help regulate the city's power supply. As a result of the scientific approach in the article, the targeted use of a transformer substation in the municipal power supply system will achieve orderly development in the city, as well as a reduction in the waste of electricity in distribution power networks.
