Description
Summary:Global environmental challenges make it necessary to rethink the notion of dwelling, both in terms of housing and land use planning. Housing is one of the keys to climate comfort through both adaptation and mitigation. It is also closed spaces that promote the spread of the virus. But the view of the developer has changed, the search for protection through artificialization has given way to a better cohabitation between humans, fauna and flora by accepting to live with climatic hazards. The summer of 2022, with a succession of heat waves and droughts, shows the extent of the transformations that would have to be made to generate new forms of habitat favorable to health and its adaptation to a new environmental context which is becoming day by day more threatening. These new forms of habitat are more adapted to the local context and to individual well-being while ensuring the proper collective functioning of the planetary system at different scales.
