Summary: | The article analyzes results of foreign policy of the ROC after the end of World war II. Despite considerable power limitations imposed on the Church due to the beginning of the Cold War, namely in 1948-1953 the «Peoples Democracy» countries experienced growth of autonomous Orthodox churches and the Union of Orthodox churches of the Eastern Europe wad established under the leadership of ROC. The article also deals with a number of problems of this period among which is the relations with the Serbian church during B. Tito’s rule, confrontation with the Ecumenical (Constantinople) Patriarch Afinagore. |
