In our study, DXA results have been compared with low back pain severity, around of waist and bone sensitiviness in both sexes. Patients and Methods: Fifteen males and 61 females patients with chronic mechanical low back pain participated our study. Average of the ages were 54,73±6,83 years for males and 57,48±12,94 years for females. Results: It is found that males’ length, weight and around of waist are more than females’ (p<0,05). Bone sensitiviness is much meaningful in males (p<0,05). Negative correlation is detected between bone mineral density and age in the males (r=0,718, p<0,05 ). Severity of the pain is similar in both sexes. DXA results were osteopenic. There is not correlation between existance of bone sensitiviness and DXA results (p>0,05). Conclusion: As a result, it is concluded that severity of pain, values of around of waist, and average of bone density have not relationship with DXA results and can not be used instead of DXA with chronic low back pain males and females.
