Description
Summary:The current study aimed at investigating the role of reading typographically-enhanced texts in enhancing the students’ ability to minimise error occurrence in their paragraphs. Data in the study included 126paragraphs written by nine students selected using stratified sampling. During the 14-weeks treatment period, the participants were exposed to typographically-enhanced texts targeting features related either to paragraph content or accuracy. The findings demonstrated a slight reduction of error occurrence that was not associated to the students’ level, but to the nature of the target feature. The implication of these findings is that (Textual Enhancement) TE can facilitate the learning of some writing-related aspects, especially rule-governed features.
