Description
Summary:In this study, a motor position control is presented using output signals of a resolver sensor as feedback signals. The resolver sensor is used to obtain position data of the rotor angle. Energy efficiency of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is affected by the motor position errors. Because the motor position errors cause energy loses. Increased position accuracy also increases the energy efficiency. The resolver sensor has high resolution, but this accuracy can be optimized. An observer method may be used in resolver to digital converter. Especially, the Luenberg state observer produces better parameters in steady state. The design of Luenberg state observer based RDC in PMSMs under a nominal load at the reference velocity is compared with the classical RDC. Firstly, the mathematical model of the PMSM is established in steady state. In addition, the resolver and the resolver to digital converter (RDC) are theoretically described. Thus, the error values can be found for PMSM. Also, the Luenberg state observer is designed in resolver to digital converter for 7,07 V(rms) and 400Hz resolver sensor. In order to obtain the absolute position and the maximum accuracy or the minimum electrical error, a simulation model is realized. Proposed Luenberg state observer-based method is applied in the model. Because of the fact that, the Luenberg state observer based RDC performance on the energy efficiency has been discussed using the classical RDC.
