description This article analyzes the sensemaking processes of organizational identity and technological capabilities that are facilitators of innovation at New-Technology-Based Firms (NTBFs). The research proposal points out that in this kind of organization, the knowledge transferred by these processes simultaneously addresses two core aspects: their organizational identity and technological capabilities. From a theoretical point of view, our study links two conceptual frameworks (organizational identity and technological capabilities), rarely mentioned together in the preceding research. From a practical point of view, the findings identify these processes and suggest that in this kind of organization both take place simultaneously, which could help stakeholders improve their management. Hence, members and managers of these organizations should take these processes into account as a framework to achieve competitiveness and therefore success.
