description The job of a college-level teacher takes a unique form in Quebec’s penitentiary environment, both in light of the precarious functioning that has been implemented over the years, but mainly through the response of the Cégep and the professors to this functioning. Therefore, the hybridization of professions, Cégep’s solution to counter institutionalized precariousness in prison settings, tend to locate the professors between education and social intervention.
