description | As remote and online education became more prevalent with the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance and influence of online learning resources gained more traction. The Scheller Teacher Education Program at MIT focuses on educational technologies that support learning, with one of the projects being StarLogo Nova, an agent-based game and simulation programming environment [1]. While there are workshops that help teachers learn to integrate StarLogo into their classrooms, the tool’s support for teaching can be improved, especially in classroom orchestration and assessing student performance in simulation-based learning. In this thesis, we design and implement a StarLogo teacher dashboard in order to provide better support for educators new to using simulation-based learning in their classrooms. |
