Eng.)--Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dept. of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, 2010. Cataloged from PDF version of thesis. Includes bibliographical references (p. 81-82). This thesis develops a single-pin LED driver used in wide screen displays. With the increasing size of the displays, a more compact multi-channel driver solution is needed for the increasing number of back light LEDs. This thesis focuses on the pin count and the accuracy. Simulation results and experimental data show that the low-side current sampling scheme is able to work with the least number of pins with acceptable accuracy. by Zhen Li.
