Since the building industry is getting more and more sophisticated in today's world, many new technologies lead us to many new possibilities for producing houses which we never would have thought of producing in the past. New technology for a designer implies the use of new rules. As a designer wants to use a new technology in a meaningful way, information which is useful to an engineer might not be directly useful to an architect. To say it clearly, two things are important for a designer to do before he starts a design: 1. He must understand not only the technology itself, but also the implications of it for design form. 2. He must organize the technical information in a way which he can use to evaluate the design. Thus, following this format, my reason for choosing plastic houses the object of this study is because there are many new implications and much new design information of the plastic technology for us to understand; For example, plastic house s may be transported to areas that are difficult to reach by any other means of transportation than helicopters. This may lead to a very interesting approach toward the relationship between technology and architectural design. by Ze-Yi Hsu.
