description | In natural ventilated rooms, such as office room, bedroom and kitchen, their ventilation is induced by wind and indoor/outdoor temperature difference caused by indoor heat source or heat sink. Indoor air quality can be a problem when indoor pollutant source intensity is high and there is no wind and cross-ventilation. In this situation, opening or openings are located on one side wall of the room. This single-sided opening or openings serves both as inlet and outlet of room air exchange. Generally the ventilation rate is lower than that of cross-ventilation. As such, single-sided natural ventilation is of great interest in both its application and the nature of its flow phenomenon. |
