Numerical study on single-sided natural ventilation with a Low-Reynolds-number k-E model

In natural ventilated rooms, such as office room, bedroom and kitchen, their ventilation is induced by wind and indoor/outdoor temperature difference caused by indoor heat source or heat sink. description In natural ventilated rooms, such as office room, bedroom and kitchen, their ventilation is induced by wind and indoor/outdoor temperature difference caused by indoor heat source or heat sink. Indoor air quality can be a problem when indoor pollutant source intensity is high and there is no wind and cross-ventilation. In this situation, opening or openings are located on one side wall of the room. This single-sided opening or openings serves both as inlet and outlet of room air exchange. Generally the ventilation rate is lower than that of cross-ventilation. As such, single-sided natural ventilation is of great interest in both its application and the nature of its flow phenomenon.
