description An antenna is a device used to transmit or receive radio waves. The antennas are used in radio and radio communications, radar and space discovery systems. There are many parameters that may affect the performance of the antenna, which is adjustable in the design, such as impedance, gain, or radiation pattern, polarization, efficiency and bandwidth. Radar Crossed Section (RCS) is a parameter that aimed to be minimized so that the object will not be easily detected. To enhance radar communication quality, antennas are mounted on specially designed substrate to achieve low-RCS while maintaining its performance. This report will provide an solution on the designing of a low-RCS patch antenna over a ground plate consists of multiple Absorptive Frequency Selective Reflector (AFSR) units to optimize the ability of the antenna. ANSYS HFSS® is a 3D Electromagnetic Field Simulator for Radio Frequency and Wireless Design. In this project, it is used to design and simulate the patch antenna with an absorptive ground.
