As a result, studies have consistently defined the term "warlord" as a meaning of derogation. This paper will narrate upon the important role played by warlords in Chinese history, specifically on the Beiyang Army in the early 20th century. The article also aims to explore on the evolution and consolidation of the term "warlord" in historical context, elaborating on the brief administration of a military government and how a derogatory image has been established on them permanently. |
