description This dissertation is a study, which examines school climate'in White Sands Primary School. The researcher wishes to know if the existing school climate contributes towards establishing an effective school. This study assessed teachers' perceptions of their experiences as a teacher and being a part of the school. The School Climate Questionnaire was administered to all teachers and it was used to extract useful information to assess climate. Frequencies, means and standard deviations were computed. The results showed teachers' attitude towards various aspects of the school. Their responses towards curriculum and instruction, school administration and management and relationship with parents gave an indication of the existing climate in the school. Many of the findings point to a positive school climate. The information gained through the analyses was used to make recommendations for meaningful change.
