Summary: | This study sought to find out the means of providing access to information in the organisation; review resources available and services provided by in-house information support facilities; investigate the alternatives used to access information in companies; and find out about the future plans of companies to set up information support facilities. The survey method of research has been employed to conduct the study and the questionnaire has been used as the data collection instrument. The sample was selected from the top 300 companies ranked in terms of total assets from the Singapore 1000 1998/1999. Out of the 150 companies selected, forty-three companies responded. |
