Design and implementation of a single-phase boost inverter

This report presents the implementation and control of Single-Phase DC – AC Buck and Boost inverters. Inverters are designed to convert the DC (Input Voltage) to AC (Output Voltage) at nominal frequency with Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation for controlling MOSFET in inverter circuit. The buck inver...

Description
Summary:This report presents the implementation and control of Single-Phase DC – AC Buck and Boost inverters. Inverters are designed to convert the DC (Input Voltage) to AC (Output Voltage) at nominal frequency with Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation for controlling MOSFET in inverter circuit. The buck inverter gives an output voltage lower than the input voltage whereas the boost inverter yields a much higher output voltage than the input voltage. Some open-loop experimental results and simulation results on the closed-loop system are provided.
