description | Ready to take things offline? Welcome to the Melting Place, a conceptual idea designed as a physical space to ease individuals into meeting in real life for the first time after chatting online on dating applications. This space seeks to provide a comfortable and fun place for individuals to know each other beyond profile pictures and biographies.
In this three-storied architecture constructed underground, each level aims to represent the progressive level of comfort and intimacy between individuals. To kickstart the experience, individuals will enter a pod located in the basement. Separated by a digital screen, individuals will be invited to answer a series of curated telepathic questions to break the ice of the initial meeting through the use of interactive gameplay. As the game comes to a close, the pod which also serves as a lift will elevate individuals to the upper levels where they can continue interacting beyond screens in an open space or café. |
