| Summary: | The responsibility of adulthood impacts us all, and everyone runs the risk of getting too busy to appreciate the little joys in life. Without joy, life quickly becomes depressing and meaningless. Studies have shown that design impacts human psychology, whether we realise it or not. Through Sauce, I aim to use joy as an aesthetic, to dress working adults in joy. Sauce uses fashion design and graphic design to strike a balance between sophistication and playfulness. Through the creation of Sauce, I aim to show that maturity does not have to come at the expense of playfulness, and that understanding this will dispel misconceptions about how an adult ‘should behave’ and give adults the freedom to find the little joys in life again.
