description A Cyber-Physical System (CPS) is an integration of physical processes, ubiquitous computation, efficient communication, and effective control. This project aims to design a visualized simulation framework of several typical CPSs with systems modelled as Discrete-Event Systems (DES) and the Supervisory Control Theory (SCT) is adopted to achieve a closed-loop control. In this report, there will be a demonstration of the simulation of an existing smart manufacturing system, Impact Line 2.0. This will be shown as a realistic animated presentation with the specific settings of case studies and will show the discrete event systems occurring at a straightforward level, without the need for users to own the professional knowledge that was used in the initial programming. Also, it will be shown how the simulation can be connected to the manufacturing system in real time. This is done with an existing automaton debugger as the model for supervisory control.
