This phenomenon has an influential role in shaping individuals opinions on political issues creating a false reality of their perceptions. Driven by algorithmic technologies, individuals have a higher likelihood to be in a vulnerable state of being trapped in a digital echo-chamber filled with misinformation. To this end, this paper aims to evaluate the changes of Singapore political communication mechanisms while understanding Singaporean youths media habits during the event of GE2020 to determine the magnitude of a digital echo-chamber and its ramification. This paper aims to support academically the knowledge of Singapore media landscape and how it is poignant to the domestic political arena. |
