| Summary: | Since 2016, allegations that the Chinese Communist Party is influencing Singapore have emerged. This paper aims to provide an evaluation of the threat posed by Pro-CCP elements, and the possibility of pro-CCP ICOs. I analysed social media data throughout GE2020. My findings indicate no large-scale Influence Cyber Operations during GE2020, however, I uncovered multiple inauthentic Pro-CCP elements. I situated my findings within developments in technology, Singaporean politics, and geopolitical changes. I conclude that Singapore will likely see an increased susceptibility to Influence Cyber Operations. |
