description | We present a theoretical approach to explain how emotions, particularly anger, play a part in workplace efficiency. Many organizations today believe anger to be a destructive emotion in the workplace. They try to avoid anger as much as possible, and prefer instead to preserve peace and harmony. Our research shows that though anger has its demerits, it does play a significant role in improving workplace efficiency. When used prudently, anger becomes valuable for the organization. The research findings will be useful to business leaders, managers, Human Resource professionals, as well as individuals in the workplace. |
