Pearson and Spearman correlation coefficients were calculated to test hypotheses for association between the two journal quality metrics. Result. A very strong positive correlation was found between the scores and ranking order based on the SJR and JIF of selected journals. Hence, academics and researchers in dentistry can use the SJR indicator as an alternative to JIF. |
