Description
Summary:High-quality yttria has been successfully synthesised with chloride derived salt solution and ammonium hydrogen carbonate precipitant. The synthesised powder has a near-spherical morphology and an average diameter of 61.5nm. Based on FE-SEM. From FTIR and XRD analysis, synthesised yttria was concluded to be a pure sample. According to FWHM, some particles have small particles attached to it after calcination. But the structure should not have an impact on sintering quality. Current process only achieved a 17% yield which is caused by excessive HCl added when preparing the salt solution.
