Description
Summary:Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) is found to be non-toxic or permeable to exogenous microorganisms. As such, it can be used for medical applications. Electrospinning can be used to fabricate this material to create a membrane that exhibits the shape memory effect (SME). SME occurs when a material returns to its original size and shape when a stimulus is applied. This study revolves around this phenomenon and aims to explore the possibility of using this material for medical applications such as the removal of blood clots in blood vessels.
