Summary: | In recent years, scientists and the general public have become extremely worried about indoor air quality as people spend more than 70 percent of their time indoors. Furthermore, interior air pollution levels have been reported to be higher than outdoor levels in some investigations. Toilets are one of the contributing factors to poor air quality in indoor facilities that are frequently used by individuals, hence, there is a need to measure satisfactory air quality.
A project was carried out to develop a smart janitor assistant system that is capable of enhancing the janitor's productivity, and efficiency, and ensuring that their well-being is well taken care of. The features include an air quality monitoring system to monitor the air in the washroom, cubicle availability indicators to provide cubicle availability status updates for the users, an automatic hand soap dispenser, automatic trash bin, wet floor detection, and toilet roll level detector. The purpose of this FYP report is to document and comprehend the project's design, development, implementation, and testing process of the project.
