Description
Summary:Wearable technology has been on the rise as the next answer for humans to monitor real-time information about their health status and individual performance. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes, ranging from wristbands to wearable skin patches to smart contact lenses, which are considered one of the next generations of wearable electronics devices. In the past, data transmission for smart contact lenses has relied on wireless connection, necessitating the deployment of extra receivers. Furthermore, no research has been published that addresses the delivery of information via image visualization and receiving alerts via contact lens color changes. As a result, the goal of this research is to create an electrochromic device that works by electrochromising ions in potassium chloride solution, which can behave as tears. The transmission of the manufactured electrochromic device, which uses Prussian Blue as an electrochromic electrode, will be investigated for its features and demonstrate that colour change is achievable. It will eventually be analysed further depending on the applied voltage to show that there are multiple permutations in which the color change can occur and how the constructed device functions as a contact lens device alert system. We anticipate that the system presented below will be able to be integrated into smart contact lenses, hence expanding the possibility of data transmission and information provision options for consumers around the world.
