Summary: | In 1995, or over the past few years, Quantum Cascade Laser (QCL) was introduced to
the world. It is a device known to produce useful terahertz radiation. [1] However, due
to fabrication defects, they are highly sensitive typically. Further enhancement of this
limitation has been solved by using topological robustness. There are many articles
about the usage of properties, some of the experiments and testing on QCLs for the
past few years, such as high-power terahertz QCL, relative intensity noise of a mid-infrared QCL and strong optical feedback stabilized QCL. [2]
Many people continue to look for new experiments that can help to explore more
solutions. This thesis gives an idea of finding available approaches to achieving
broadly tunable single-mode quantum cascade laser. Therefore, the main objective is
to introduce the characterization of QCL, as well as its solution to achieve the goals
and make them approachable. From there, we can do more experiments, and testing and
obtain the results to see which are the possible ways.
