Description
Summary:SLEEPLESS is a 2D animated music video that takes on a graphic-novel aesthetic to visually translate the psychogenic happenings of BONNY, a girl stuck in an endless bout of insomnia. Constantly flitting from moments of surreal lucidity to harrowing, gruesome nightmares, the entire film narrates the development of BONNY's inner conflict with her alter-ego, BAT, through a series of events that become exponentially distressing; wherein the relationship splintered within, and between, the self is completely and utterly shattered. In collaboration with Math Class' debut single, Sleepless, the film explores various visual transitions synchronous with the music, while pushing the limits of a black-and-white virtual space, experimenting liberally with artistic compositions. A simple narrative at face-value with eye-catching shots, SLEEPLESS is a film that speaks of conflict, closure, and resolution, with mindful acceptance of the past and the will to embrace it.
