description | The properties of high strength copper slag concrete is studied. Up to 100% by weight of sand was replaced by copper slag in 20% gradual increment. Strength and permeability was studied through particle size distribution, specific gravity, SEM, XRD and water absorption analysis. The results has showed thatcopper slag exhibit high strength at later age and the filler effect of copper slag has improved the water absorption of the concrete. However density of the test specimen used in this project was not consistent and XRD results also does not reflect the percentage increase of fayalite and magnetite as percentage of sand being replaced increases. |
