description The aim of this study was to examine cross-informant inconsistency in the sub-dimensions of childhood externalizing and internalizing problems. The Child Behavior Checklist series of measures were used for the purpose. Data of participants (N = 221) on the measures were from the archival records of an outpatient clinic providing psychological services for children and adolescents. Cross-informant inconsistency was found for the Internalizing broad band scale and two sub-scales (i.e., Anxious/Depressed and Somatic Complaints) but not for the Withdrawn subscale. Cross-informant consistency was found for the Externalizing broad band scale and one subscale (i.e., Aggressive Behavior). Mixed findings emerged for another Externalizing subscale (i.e., Delinquent Behavior). The findings and implications of this study were discussed.
