description | A legal framework for overseeing and maintaining Singapore's national cybersecurity has been implemented with the implementation of the Cybersecurity Act in 2018. Since its introduction, digital infrastructure and services have been used more frequently. Singapore's digitalization has made more organisations susceptible to cyber-attacks if they do not implement effective cybersecurity safeguards.
So far, the cyber security act has focused on critical infrastructures that deliver essential services like water and electricity. Therefore, it is worthwhile to consider whether the act should also apply to supply chain management.
As more employees worked from home, cyber-attacks had increased worldwide in recent years. In order to operate successfully in the supply chain industry, companies must store a large volume of data digitally, making them a frequent target for cyber-attacks.
The objective of this paper is to investigate cybersecurity preparedness among Singaporean supply chain companies as well as the top challenges faced during the implementation process. |
