| Sumari: | This thesis will discuss the usage of Photonic Topological Insulator (PTI) and
Silicon on Insulator (SOI) for detection, the importance of the application of Terahertz
(THz) in gas detection, as well as methods to produce THz spectrometers for commercial
and industrial applications. Currently, THz spectrometers are in development, and we
would propose a method for application on existing spectroscopy, to enhance our existing
signal to improve the sensitivity of our systems, to have better accuracy in measurements,
and to have a faster response in measurements.
