description This project involved the development of a Python-based software tool for calculating 2-D beam problems with varying support, load, and beam parameters. The software calculates the shear force, bending moment, and normal stress diagrams and displays them in a clear and concise manner. The technical approach involved implementing algorithms for calculating the diagrams, as well as designing a user interface that is both easy to use and effective in displaying the output diagrams. The software was tested for its functionality and usability. While limitations were encountered during the development process, the software shows promise as a valuable tool for analyzing 2-D beam problems. Future work includes improvements to the software's functionality and design, as well as the addition of more complex beam structures.
