description | This report proposes the design, implementation, and testing of a low-cost embedded device that utilizes an ultrasonic sensor for contactless distance measurement using a microcontroller. The HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor module will be combined with an Arduino Uno board, Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), and other components to produce a prototype that can measure the distance between an object and device without physical contact. Additionally, another prototype will be designed to have an activation trigger when a certain amount of distance is met, utilizing a Light-Emitting Diode (LED) for the trigger. The sensor module includes a transmitter and receiver and projects an ultrasonic sound wave within a range of 2 cm to 400 cm with an accuracy of 3mm. |
