Description
Summary:QR Code technology has rapidly evolved from traditional barcodes to two-dimensional barcodes. Initially developed for the automotive industry to optimize processes, QR Codes have now entered the mobile market due to the increasing number of smartphone users. With their compact size and efficiency, QR Codes have become a popular way to store data for various applications. QR Code technology has been adopted by numerous sectors, including healthcare, banking, business operations, and logistics. In recent years, integrating QR Code technology into attendance-taking has gained traction. The proposed QR code attendance system aims to reduce the time taken to process daily class attendance, improve data accuracy, and enhance the user experience. The QR code will contain essential data such as the tutorial room, subject code, and time and date, allowing the system to capture attendance data in real-time. The proposed web application will enable administrators, lecturers, and students to efficiently utilize the attendance system. The system's user interface is designed to be user-friendly and intuitive, allowing users to easily navigate and access attendance data. Furthermore, the application features additional functionalities such as editing personal information and adding class timings, which help enhance the system's effectiveness. This report presents a detailed description of the proposed system, including its design, development, and implementation. The proposed system was evaluated using a case study approach in a school-based environment. The results showed that the system improved the efficiency of attendance-taking, reduced errors, and provided a better user experience for both students and faculty. In conclusion, this project proposes a QR code attendance system that is designed to address the challenges associated with traditional attendance-taking methods. The proposed system leverages the user-friendliness and popularity of QR Code technology to provide an efficient and effective attendance-taking solution
