description Mechatronic Systems are being developed as technology advances. Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary field of engineering that utilises principles of control and automation from mechanical, electrical, and computing technologies. [1] Robots are one such form of a mechatronic system. Using the combination of sensors, circuits and motion components such as actuators, we are able to design robots to assist and complete everyday tasks. In this project, a robotic trolley is being designed to assist with transporting goods around. This includes but not limited to daily tasks such as grocery shopping. Considering that the robot might need to cater for uneven surfaces, this robot will be using tracks instead of wheels for its movement and will include a balancing platform to prevent goods from falling or causing the trolley to topple.
