| description | As Singapore progresses towards Healthier SG which is a new direction in the Singapore government healthcare policy, the use of mHealth is likely to play an increasingly important role in managing the population health. Healthy 365 is one such government mHealth application which allows citizens to participate in various national health challenges to stay healthy. The purpose of this exploratory research paper seeks to understand what the factors are affecting older adults’ usage of the Healthy 365 application and their participation in the Healthy 365 campaigns. The constructs of the Technological Acceptance Model and Health Belief Model were borrowed and adapted to meet the specific needs of answering the research questions on Healthy 365. A qualitative approach was adopted where semi-structured interviews were carried out and analysed using Thematic Analysis. Notable findings on the Healthy 365 include the motivation to use Healthy 365 was heavily driven by monetary rewards. Perceived Susceptibility of developing chronic diseases did not form a major impact on their motivation to use Healthy 365. Based on the research findings, recommendations were proposed to improve the Healthy 365 given its importance in the coming years. |
