description The purpose of this project is to design and develop a system to extract for interactive 3D extension of 2D map data of buildings or similar structures. The scope of this project covers the development of the system suitable for nontechnical users and the research on the various ways of building extractions from images to the reconstruction of the extractions. The author of this report realizes the importance of 3-dimension data in applications of today’s technology. With the great demand of a program for non-specialists usage, the author will develop a semi-automatic program that is easy to understand and use. Research will be conducted on current applications develop for different field of usage, by programmers from other countries. The author will analyze each research and concludes on which applications is better. The author will then develop requirements and design on her program and discuss on the steps and algorithms used. Next, the author will discuss on her current findings, flaws and benefits on the program developed and analyze what can be done further to improve on the program.
