description This Final Year Project (FYP) report, preceded by an introductory chapter (Chapter One) is divided into two main sections. In the first section (Chapter Two & Three), the author reviews the history of grinding and the various forms of abrasives. It furthers introduce the different types of grinding and the parameters of a grinding wheel. Within this section, the author also reviews the latest literature in technology. The importance of three dimensional topographic of a machine surface is also review. In the second section (Chapter Four, and Five), the author illustrates the experimental equipments and techniques used in this research. It also explains in a step-by-step procedure how the experiments are conducted. Based on the data and graphical representations obtained, the author will discuss and evaluates the results attained in the experiments conducted. In the concluding chapter (Chapter Six), the author will attempt to sum up the results and propose his overall evaluations.
